Planbox is an Agile project management tool that allows members of multiple business functions to plan, collaborate and deliver projects. It goes beyond software development and brings the other functions of an organization into the agile life cycle. It is a hosted web application that is available to the public.
Originally created for Bolidea,[1] a Montreal-based technology incubator, it was created to serve as the company’s Product portfolio management platform, as an answer to the lack of such tools. However, it turned into a stand-alone project and was made available to the general public as a product and project management tool. With this product management tool, users can apply many of the agile project management methodologies, such as scrum, lean, etc.
Planbox is often considered a stepping stone for companies adopting Agile that have grown out of their current basic Project Management tools but that are not yet willing to invest for a fully customized suite from some of the big labels.
