Socialtext Incorporated is a company based in Palo Alto, California that produces enterprise social software, comprising an integrated suite of web-based social software applications including microblogging, user profile, directories, groups, personal dashboards usingOpenSocial widgets, and shared spreadsheet, wiki, and weblog collaboration tools. It is run by CEO Eugene Lee and President and co-founder Ross Mayfield.[1]
On May 1, 2012, Peoplefluent acquired Socialtext.[3] Before it was acquired, investors in Socialtext included Omidyar Network,[4] Draper Fisher Jurvetson,[5] and SAP Ventures[6].
